Biography for John McCarthy

John McCarthy uses therapeutic hypnosis, and motivational coaching techniques to assist his clients accomplish their goals and create meaningful, fulfilling lives.

After graduating at the top of his class in 1998 with a private practice already in place, John became a full time lead instructor at HMI, training others to become hypnotherapists. In addition, he took over management of the American Hypnosis Association, which has since become a thriving organization offering continuing education to hypnotherapists.

He is also cofounder of NLP TransWORLD, an organization that provides training in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Time Line Therapy® to hypnotherapists and others.

John's approach envisions the very best in his clients, and aims towards assisting each individual access their own inner greatness. Utilizing a holistic approach focused on personal empowerment, John helps his clients coordinate mind, body and spirit to actively pursue their goals and achieve results.

Since 1998, John has divided his time between a private practice averaging 20 sessions a week, teaching classes at the Hypnosis Motivation Institute, serving as Vice President of the American Hypnosis Association, and running NLP TransWORLD conducting specialty seminars on weekends. He was also Coordinator of HMI's Distance Education Program from 1998 to 2002 and Secretary/Treasurer of the Hypnotherapists Union Local 472 from 1999 to 2003.
