Enrollment Agreement for Foundations in Hypnotherapy
and Advanced Training Courses

By completing and sending this contract, you agree to all terms. Print a copy for your records.

Your payment of the total costs entitles you to receive all of the education services provided by HMI to complete the course(s).

After you successfully complete all required work and pass all required examinations and after all required documents, fees and charges have been submitted, HMI will award you the appropriate certificate(s) or diploma(s).

Admissions Requirements

Students must be 18 years of age or older.

HMI reserves the right to decline, accept, retain or dismiss any person as a student at any time with cause, such cause being at the sole discretion of HMI. A student is subject to dismissal if the student's conduct is such as to reflect in a negative manner on the profession, other students or HMI. In the event of a dismissal, the fees paid by the student shall be refunded according to the refund policy listed above.

Completion of at least 70% of all course materials and satisfactory completion (70% or better) of all exams and assignments is required in order for the student to receive a certificate of completion.

Students recognize that Hypnotherapists work as independent contractors and as such, will rely on their training and abilities to be successful in starting and maintaining their own business.

HMI does not guarantee employment upon completion of the training program. HMI does assist its students in establishing a potentially successful business by providing marketing ideas based on HMI's experience over the past 35 years. These include opportunities to network with other graduates and experts in the field of Hypnotherapy, as well as additional education materials and continuing education in topics related to the profession.

The Hypnosis Motivation Institute admits students without regard to race, color, sex, religion or national origin.

Enrollment Cancellation and Tuition Refund - Buyer's Right to Cancel

You have the right to cancel this agreement for the course of instruction at any time, including any equipment or other goods and services included in this agreement.

If HMI is notified of your desire to cancel within five business days of the date you signed your enrollment agreement, HMI will refund one hundred percent (100%) of the tuition paid within 10 days. You may cancel in any manner but written notice is strongly suggested.

After the fifth business day, if you decide to cancel before submitting your first lesson/assignment, HMI will refund 100% of your tuition less a registration fee of $100 or 15% of the total tuition contracted for, whichever is less.

After submitting your first lesson, HMI will issue a refund of the total tuition or courses/volumes contracted for, minus the registration fee, multiplied by a fraction, the numerator of which is the number of lessons that the student has not submitted for grading and the denominator of which is the total number of courses/volumes lessons which have been contracted. For example; If the student contracts for six courses/volumes (6 lessons) and submits only two volume lessons (33%) for grading before canceling their agreement, then the student's refund would be the tuition contracted for the six volumes, minus a $100 registration fee ($2,970 - $100 = $2,870) multiplied by the percentage of lessons that were contracted for but not completed ($2,870 x 67% = $1,923 refund).

All refunds due will be paid within thirty (30) days from the date that HMI receives your cancellation notice.

Note: You must complete a minimum of one volume every 8 weeks to maintain satisfactory progress. You have a maximum of 18 months to complete the entire course.

This agreement will automatically expire 90 days from the date of the last course/volume shipped if the student does not submit either a lesson to be graded or a request of cancellation during that 90 day period.

HMI reserves the right to reject an application, with a refund of the deposit and tuition fees paid.

HMI reserves the right to change course fees and/or course materials at its discretion without prior notice, except when pre-paid under this Agreement and once executed by both parties.

All tuition must be paid in U.S. funds only. All students outside of the continental U.S. and Alaska will be responsible for payment of any applicable custom duties and/or additional shipping fees and/or additional telecommunications costs.

Notice

HMI's tuition rates as published in its catalog and on the Enrollment Agreement Addendum are subject to change without notice unless tuition is prepaid. Applicant are considered prepaid when tuition is paid in full and this application is signed and executed by both parties.

Reasonable Outcome Expectations

HMI strives to provide you the most thorough and complete hypnotherapy training possible. HMI's training focuses on developing the skills of helping others. The reasons for enrolling and professional outcomes that individual graduates achieve from the education they receive at HMI vary greatly. HMI does not represent to know the exact outcomes that HMI graduates achieve over any given period of time. HMI makes no representations that a majority of its graduates have careers in hypnotherapy. HMI does not prepare students for "employment" in hypnotherapy and clearly states that there are no "employment" opportunities. HMI prepares students only for "self employment" through their own marketing and development of a private practice.

HMI estimates that only a small percentage of graduates go on to see more than 25 clients per week. It is our experience that professional counselors in general, rarely see more than 25 clients per week. A larger percentage of HMI graduates pursuing private practice, see between 1 to 20 clients per week and use their private practice to supplement their income, or as a "part time" career. HMI estimates that perhaps the largest percentage of HMI graduates do not use the training to pursue self employment, but rather, integrate the information and skills acquired with their existing professions, personal or professional self-improvement or for use with family and friends.

The development of a private practice in hypnotherapy, or any other private practice field, requires diligent effort and a reasonable period of time for development. HMI provides specific guidelines and instruction for the marketing and development of a private practice. A graduate's marketing results vary according to their professional appearance, personality and presentation.

HMI's Student Performance Fact Sheet provides the most up-to-date information regarding student satisfaction, based on HMI graduate surveys. When reviewing these surveys, prospective students must consider that HMI does not continue to survey graduates over extended periods of time. HMI's surveys are conducted no sooner than 30 days after graduation. Your personal results or professional outcomes may vary.
