HMI Advanced Hypnotherapy Training Videos - Volumes 4-1 thru 4-6

Volume 4-1 - Child Hypnosis

Working with children through hypnosis can be a rewarding experience for both child and hypnotherapist if the hypnotist knows the correct way to work with children. If not, it can turn into an exercise in futility.
In this first part of a two tape series, HMI staff therapist, Candace Brown, C.Ht., covers techniques that will make your hypnosis sessions with children effective and fun for both parties.
Ms. Brown specializes in working with children and she taps into her more than 11 years of experience to show you how to gain rapport with children during the first session and how to communicate effectively with them in hypnosis and out of hypnosis.
Volume 4-2 - Advanced Child Hypnosis

In the second of this two part series, Candace Brown, C.Ht., further illustrates the dynamics of therapy when working with children, how to use play and how to structure the session.
This tape takes the techniques covered in volume 4-1 and expands on them. You'll learn advanced techniques for working with children, how to apply those techniques to specific areas such as motivation for sports and school and how to use story telling in your hypnotic sessions with children.
Volume 4-3 - Medical Hypnosis

This tape covers the application of hypnosis in dealing with medical problems. HMI staff therapist, Joel Levinson, M.A., M.F.C.C., shows you how to work in conjunction with a medical doctor, hypnotic pain control techniques and how to work with hypnosis for childbirth.
You'll explore some of the experiments and research carried out by other hypnotherapists working in this field as well as the Kappasinian model of working with hypnosis in the medical area.
Volume 4-4 - Fears and Phobias

Almost everyone you know probably has some type of fear or phobia. Many experience mild symptoms that have little effect on their everyday happiness, while others suffer from full blown symptoms that prevent them from reaching and enjoying their goals. Every therapist, at one point, will have clients who fall somewhere in this range of symptomology.
HMI staff therapist, Marc Gravelle, C.Ht., demonstrates HMI's Circle Therapy and its comparison with the standard Systematic Desensitization. This lesson includes footage of Dr. Kappas working with a client complaining of a fear of driving and is a staple of HMI's professional training.
Volume 4-5 - Defense Mechanisms

There are more than 20 different defense mechanisms that your client may exhibit, some benign and others more serious.
Shira Ditsch, C.Ht., delves into her years of experience to show you when and how to expose a defense mechanism, what the major mechanisms are, why a client develops defense mechanisms, healthy versus unhealthy use of a defense mechanism and the structure of personality systems.
Volume 4-6 - Clinical Case Presentation

This clinical case features Dr. John Kappas working with Resa, an Iranian Muslim male, mid thirties, complaining of problems in relationships and feeling that he has negative programming that stops him from having fulfilling relationships.
