Case 1: FEAR OF PUBLIC SPEAKING. @2min36sec. Client: 32yr. Female. 85% Emotional Suggestibility. Issue: Fear of Public Speaking and speaking to new clients. Ms. Tanya Nord suggests working symptomatically by desensitizing the client to her fears; and Tanya suggests working on confidence and self-esteem. Ms. Nord discusses ego-sensations, arm-raising and Paris Window, and she instructs interns about desensitization.

Case 2: GAMBLING ADDICTION. @14min37sec. 50yr. Female. Low Physical. Issue: gambling addiction. Ms. Tanya Nord insists the client go to Gambler Anonymous Meetings. Ms. Nord lists possible interventions for client including desensitization and aversion techniques. Tanya also suggests discovering client’s personal motivation to stop gambling and she discusses using “life-progression.”

Case 3: MYSTERIOUS BACK PAIN. @25min45sec. Female. Physical Sexuality/Suggestibility. Issue: Back pain related to trouble talking. Ms. Nord recommends the client see the doctor as soon as possible before the intern work with the client again. There is a discussion about symptoms and medical referrals.

Case 4: HYSTERICAL CONVERSION & SECONDARY GAIN. @31min08sec. 82yr Female. Issue: Woke up after Mother’s day unable to walk except in water; nothing has been determined medically. Ms. Tanya Nord suggests Corrective Therapy and other diagnostic tools to reveal secondary gain. Tanya discusses “secondary gain” and how to meet a client’s “not-conscious” needs. Ms. Nord provides suggestions for the client including bodymind connection and dream therapy. Following is an insightful disussion about “guided imagery.”

Case 5: HYPNOSIS FOR CURSES & BAD LUCK. @45min09sec. 52yr. Female. Physical. Issue: Chronic Fatigue; depression; believes she’s been cursed. Ms. Nord suggests “removing the curse” in hypnosis, and Tanya explains why someone might believe they’re cursed. The class of HMI interns all provide feedback as they discuss this interesting case.

Lisa shares the “magic 4 questions” for eating healthy based on an NLP strategy. Mrs. Machenberg discusses emotions, overeating, and weight-loss therapy.

Case 2: MOTHERING THE SELF. @19min43sec. Client: 45yr Female; High Emotional. Issue: Perfectionism; negativity; wants to be a mother. As a Doctor of Linguistics she is very frustrated when people “misspeak.” Lisa describes her theory of the real problem with this client, and Mrs. Machenberg discusses the good characteristics of a mother.

Case 3: SUICIDAL IDEATION/A GAME FOR CAREER CHANGE. @34min22sec. Client: 38yr Female; High Emotional. Issue: Wants to get away from pornography business; feels like parents don’t love her; previously suicidal. Mrs. Lisa Machenberg advises all HMI interns to take suicidal ideation very seriously. Lisa explains how suicidal ideation is cyclical, and she explains what to do if a client expresses suicidal ideation. Mrs. Machenberg discusses the seduction of the porn industry, and she suggests playing a game with this client called “9 Lives” for career change.

Case 1: CHURCH & HYPNOTIC MODALITIES. @4min.56sec. Client: Male; belongs to a church that deprives its members of sleep and makes them fast. Issue: Pain Control in back. Mr. George Kappas defines church as a hypnotic modality, and George cautions the intern about the client’s mental health. George insists the intern approach this case as strictly pain-control.

Case 2: PATIENCE, MOTIVATION, WEIGHT-LOSS. @15min.31sec. Client: Female. Emotional; she is Dependant on sleeping-pills. Issue: Weight-Loss. Mr. George Kappas explains the importance of “patience” in the therapeutic relationship, and George advises the intern how to get results. Mr. Kappas discusses how to get motivated to exercise, and George distinguishes two motivation styles. Mr. George Kappas concludes with the three things that make a successful therapy session and suggests “Therapeutic-Directives.”

Case 3: FEAR OF FLYING OR ANTICIPATORY ANXIETY. @33min.52sec. Client: 32yr Male. Somnambulist. Issue: Presenting issue was fear of flying- but it’s been determined he has anticipatory anxiety based on prior panic attacks. George criticizes the “Glucose-Test” and discusses blood-sugar drops, and Mr. Kappas distinguishes between fear of flying and anticipatory anxiety. George suggests what to do in hypnosis for anticipatory anxiety and further discusses this case.

Case 4: REFERRAL FOR ELDERLY CLIENT. @47min.44sec. Client: Elderly man with leg ulcerations and circulation problems. Issue: Pain control; sleep better. Intern inquires about medical referral. George advises the intern and suggests what to do in hypnosis.

Mr. Gravelle shares hypnotic suggestions for memory improvement and test-taking.

Case 2: GENERAL APPROACHES & HYPNOTIC SUGGESTIONS. @12min38sec. Client: 33yr Female. Issue: Self-esteem; wants to get out of porn business. Mr. Marc Gravelle explains the number one thing that keeps people stuck, and he shares several powerful hypnotic suggestions including Deepak Chopra’s “7 Spiritual Laws of Success.” Marc discusses the importance of blood-sugar, and he suggests how to help a physical sexual female with relationship problems.

Case 1: DYSPHASIA & HYPNOSIS. @2min.22sec. Client: 67yr Male. Issue: Dysphasia; improve speech- doesn’t speak clearly. Tanya Nord emphasizes relaxation first, and she provides hypnotic suggestions to improve speech.

Case 2: LOSS OF BALANCE & HYPNOSIS. @9min.40sec. Client: 69yr Male; had a stroke 10yrs before. Issue: Loss of balance: falls on face. Mrs. Nord recommends a medical referral, and Tanya shares what to do in hypnosis including suggestions for “cellular memory” and guided imagery. Mrs. Tanya Nord also recommends Chinese-Ringing-Balls and other objects for exercise.

Case 3: JEALOUSY & HYPNOSIS. @19min.53sec Client: Male; physical sexual. Issue: Strong jealousy about girlfriend’s relations with other people. Mrs. Nord recommends introducing E&P for all “relationship issues,” and Tanya suggests Circle-Therapy for jealousy. Case 2: KAPPASINIAN FORGIVENESS METHOD. @15min.15sec. Client: 39yr Female; somnambulist; post long-term relationship. Issue: Let go of past grievances and more balance in life. Mrs. Cheryl O’Neil recommends “Goal Fulfillment” imagery and the Kappasinian Method of Forgiveness and other hypnotic suggestions.

Case 3: E&P DYNAMICS & IMAGERY. @23min.26sec. Client: 43yr Female; Emotional Suggestible. She is a divorcee and single mom; experiencing rejection in her new relationship. Issue: She wants to know why she is allowing herself to be in a “humiliating” situation. Mrs. O’Neil discusses “Knowns” in the subconscious-mind and how Dominant Thoughts attract their experiential equivalent. Cheryl advises the intern to discover the client’s sexuality, and Mrs. O’Neil suggests practicing E&P principles. Case 1: ONE SESSION SMOKING-CESSATION. @2min.23sec. Client: 44yr Male. Issue: Wants to quit smoking in one session. Mrs. Tanya Nord explains her preference for one session smoking-cessation; and Tanya discusses smoking as an addiction. Mrs. Nord explains how to arrange the session for maximum success; and Tanya discusses “aversion therapy” as a way to reverse positive associations with cigarettes.

Case 2: TEST ANXIETY. @16min.47sec. Client: 20yr Female. Issue: Test anxiety- fingers freeze as she takes test. Mrs. Tanya Nord provides cognitive and hypnotic suggestions and indicates how much hypnotic depth is necessary. Tanya reviews Systematic-Desensitization to the test-taking experience including more hypnotic suggestions.

Mrs. Nord discusses the problem with expectations, and Tanya suggests Stages of Development, Inner Child Work, and other therapeutic techniques. Tanya discusses the "Mental Bank Concept" and its many benefits.

Case 4: HYPNOSIS FOR PREGNANCY NAUSEA. @42min.50sec. Client: Late 20s Female; pregnant; fear she’ll lose baby. Issue: Nausea. Tanya advises the intern to gather information in specific areas, and Mrs. Nord gives suggestions to relieve nausea, promote appetite, and boost energy.

Case 1: FAMILY SYSTEMS: DIVORCE & CHILDREN. @1min.26sec. Client: 13yr Male; failing out of school; parent’s divorcing. Issue: Intern asks how he can assist. Mr. Marc Gravelle defines the “real problem” in terms of Family Systems. Marc offers many suggestions for the parents including not arguing in front of the child, and Mr. Gravelle provides suggestions for the child including hypnosis for concentration.

Case 2: SMOKING, RELATIONSHIPS, ASSERTIVENESS. @11min.37sec. client: 26yr Female; diagnosed bipolar; abusive relationship. Issue: Quit smoking; increase self-esteem. After several smoking-cessation sessions client wants to smoke again- but cigarettes now make her sick. Marc defines smoking as an anxiety reduction tool and the necessity of a replacement behavior. Mr. Gravelle shares hypnotic suggestions for smoking-cessation, and Marc shares a definition of self-esteem including how to build it. Marc explains why an emotional sexual becomes abusive, the seven qualities of a successful relationship, and hypnotic suggestions for “laziness” and “assertiveness.”
