Case 1: 54 year old female with emotional suggestibility. Presenting issue: Fear. She has a family history of fatal cancer. Though she has recovered from breast cancer three years ago she fears she'll suffer the same fate as some of her relatives. Mr. Gravelle gives a formula for letting go of anxiety and effective hypnotic suggestions.

Case 2: Female somnambulist in her 20's. Presenting issue: Stuttering. Mr. Gravelle explains source and solution of stuttering.

Case 3: Female. Presenting issue: Smoking cessation. Mr. Gravelle gives example of effective replacement behavior.

Case 4: Male in his 30's. Presenting issue: Habit of tightening abdominal muscles. Mr. Gravelle defines body syndrome and lists suggestions to treat them.

Case 5: Female. Presenting issue: Teeth grinding. Mr. Gravelle explains cause of teeth grinding.

Case 1: 28 year old female. Presenting issue: IBS. Ms. Machenberg defines IBS, provides a solution, and discusses the problem with anti-depressants.

Case 2: 40 year old physical female. Presenting issue: Self-esteem. She was adopted and abused as a child. She has depression. Ms. Machenberg explains why a medical referral is necessary.

Case 3: 35 year old physical female. Presenting issue: Originally came in to pass bar exam and was successful but now exhibits melodramatic "teenage" behavior during session. She is a single mother with abandonment issues. Ms. Machenberg defines masochistic repetition and explains how to teach containment.

Case 4: 28 year old female. She is the interns friend. She is unhappy but doesn't want to change. Ms. Machneberg discusses friendship and clients.

Case 5: 40 year old physical female. Presenting issue: Wants a relationship. Ms. Machenberg explains a formula and provides effective hypnotic suggestions to attract others.

Case 1: Male. Presenting issue: Grieving. His father has terminal cancer. Intern wants to know if client should start the grieving process.

Case 2: 37 year old female. Physical suggestible and emotional sexual. Presenting issue: Fear of driving. She has been in several car accidents. Intern wants to know more suggestions to use. Mr. Melton gives brief example of timeline, direct desensitization, health appraisal, and the use of smell.

Case 3: 60 year old female emotional suggestible. Presenting issue: FWY driving. She reacts negatively to the word "merge". Mr. Melton discusses desensitization and the use of sensory perceptions.

Case 4: Male. Presenting issue: He reacts aggressively to the word "stupid". Mr. Melton suggests diagnostic tools and discusses stages of development and age regression.

Case 5: 31 year old physical female. Presenting issue: Stuttering. She stutters when she is around a male colleague she is attracted to.

Case 6: 65 year old male. Presenting issue: Regain use of arm. He suffered a stroke. Mr. Melton discusses the importance of discovering clients believe system.

Case 7: Male. He has nerve damage and intern wants to know wether or not "overload" is safe during induction. Mr. Melton discusses hypersuggestibility and the importance of "overload".

Case 1: 37 year old female. 55% emotional suggestibility. Presenting issue: Generalized anxiety. She comes from an alcoholic home and is in a crisis with her boyfriend - also an alcoholic/addict. She is a member of Al-anon. Mr. Kappas discusses keeping it simple - avoid digging, therapy as microcosm of real life, and committing to self care. There is a group discussion of 12-steps and Higher Power, self-esteem, and diet.

Case 2: 44 year old female. High physical. Presenting issue: Smoking cessation. She wants to quit to keep her boyfriend; he resents her smoking. After 3-4 days smoke free she had a fight with her boyfriend and is smoking again. Now she wants to work on relationship with boyfriend believing that will stop her smoking. Mr. Kappas talks about reconnecting with feelings, relationships as voluntary, makes powerful analogies, tells useful personal stories and gives experiential advice.

Case 1: Female. Presenting issue: Focus - find direction. She is having financial difficulties. Mr. Melton suggests developing a strategy and looking at life from foundation up.

Case 2: 38 year old female. Presenting issue: Weight loss. She has to put down her dog and is eating to cope. During her first session she had an intense irruption of emotion. Mr. Melton cautions against "too much, too soon" and consequentially pushing client out of therapy.

Case 3: 8 year old boy. He may have grief and loss issues. Mr. Melton discusses scope and refers to child psychologist.

Case 4: 50 year old female. 56% physical suggestibility. Presenting issue: Weight loss - 60 pounds. Intern wants to know creative ideas as it is her first client and she is nervous. Mr. Melton gives practical advice, discusses the art of questioning, and doing a thorough history of problem and habits.

Case 5: Client did not respond to intern after arm-raising. Mr. Melton discusses depth and awakening from state.

Case 6: Male. Presenting issue: Relaxation and sleep. He is bi-polar and psychiatrist referred. He is very anxious about a coming court case and not being able to express himself. Mr. Melton suggests dealing only with presenting issue and gives a review of systematic desensitization. There is a brief caution of hypnosis in regard to court.

Case 7: 27 year old male. Emotional suggest and sex. Presenting issue: He is a talented actor but feels too controlled by his moods. Mr. Melton suggests anchoring a positive productive mood state.

Case 1: 67 year old male. Presenting issue: Back pain, severe constipation, cannot walk, depression and anxiety. He recently bankrupted - $3 million. Medical treatment has not helped. The doctors do not know what is wrong with him. Mr. Gravelle gives a detailed review of body syndromes and how to address and treat them. He also lists the five distinct feelings of all problems and provides a simple solution to depression.

Case 2: 27 year old female with physical suggestibility. Presenting issue: Weight loss - 30 pounds. She is getting married relatively soon but can no longer fit in her wedding dress. Ms. Nord gives useful suggestions including "feed your body not your emotions."

Case 3: 57 year old female with emotional suggestibility. Presenting issue: Self-esteem. She has been in abusive relationships, attracts alcoholic men, and feels invisible. Ms. Nord discusses reinventing the self, inner child work, and codependency.

Case 4: 25 year old male. Presenting issue: Pain control for hair removal. He is the intern's relative. Their session was not successful. Ms. Nord explains why therapist should not work with relatives.

Case 5: 28 year old male, physical suggestible. Presenting issue: Motivation and fear of success. He believes he can reach his goals but feels defeated at work and held back by his friends. Ms. Nord discusses self-esteem, assertiveness, and finding out what he wants.

Case 6: Couple. Presenting issue: Codependency. Intern wants to know what to do. Ms. Nord defines codependency and suggests CODA meeting.

Case 1: 33 year old female. Presenting issue: Wants to know if she has been raped by her father.

Case 2: Unknown age and sex. Presenting issue: Stop smoking. They missed their second appointment and therapist wants to know if she can do phone sessions to make it up.

Case 3: 48 year old female. Presenting issue: Panic attacks. HIV positive for 25 years, originally came in to stop smoking. But now is second session revealed long standing anxiety issues which started when she was 17 years old and recent panic attacks as a greater priority.

Case 4: 43 year old male. Presenting issue: Wants to make more money.

Case 5: 38 year old woman. Presenting issues and self-esteem: Trust issues and boundaries with boyfriend who she feels is not nice to her and does not treat her well.

Case 6: 31 year old female. Presenting issue: Wants to have a baby. She is a completely busy work schedule, school schedule and her and husband are both striving to move up the career ladder and she is not sure how she can have the time to have a baby.
